Seven hours (including breaks) . . . Gotta believe the committee learned something interesting

Tillerson was before the House Foreign Affairs Committee. I had heard about this earlier today, but only just saw how long he was there a few minutes ago. He must have had quite a bit to say.

Just how many ways could he say, "Rump's a fucking moron?"

Guess he needed 7 hours for emphasis!

just greed and lack of experience for their appointed jobs....they all have UGE EGOs and have trouble being treated disrespectfully. Especially in public. So hopefully 7 hours of which 6 hrs and 57 minutes was brought to us by the letter “R” for Revenge!

Publicly demand/subpoena certain people to testify and have Dump block it.

Meanwhile....quietly do "interviews" with no fan fare. That's tricky....and I like it.

I wonder if Tillerson grew a conscience and just up and volunteered so that Dems wouldn't have to make a public spectacle of it, resulting in Trump demanding he not show up.

In any case, whoever's idea it was, he showed up, and you KNOW IQ45 would've demanded he not do so, had he known it was happening in advance, so ... I've a pretty damn good feeling ... this was a very good thing.

Now we need a lot more of this.

Maybe Hope Hicks shows up tomorrow.

...they already have enough of the goods on.

Private interviews that are off the docket, no swearing in, informal, etc. While coughing up valuable information. Add to that, once you do know that info, should impeachment proceedings start, one person knows the questions to ask, the other knows how to answer.

Tillerson, I doubt he grew a conscience. But were talking about someone with a huge ego that was embarrassed by Trump....that can be far more dangerous to Trump. Because at this point, its revenge.

I wonder what the new info was that he gave them today. Did he use more colorful adjectives?

the translator's notes from his meeting with Putin in Hamburg. I don't know if he has those notes or knows what they talked about. I'd be willing to bet he didn't like Kushner's interference in Middle East policy or the public way Trump fired him.

Was there enough time for him to tell them everything they need to know or will he be coming back for a second day of testimony? He must have a lot to tell but I am not so sure about his "willingness" to do so.

There was no subpoena. Seven hours of low key conversation can reveal an awful lot. Also Tillerson is unlikely IMO to be intimidated by Trump or Barr. That is probably why Trump got rid of him so early on.
