OMG, these people are just as hateful and as blind as ever. One comment after another of just pure vitriol against the democratic leaders and tons of love for Trump.
This is going to be an uphill battle.

(115,659 posts)The vitriol you see on Fox is coming from them - old, angry white people - and there are far fewer of them than there are of us. Trump plays only to that base. He's like the head of a religious cult that doesn't accept converts.

One thing to remember, the numbers on our side by far...100%-37% (supposed rump supporters) means 63% left.
63%, a difference of 26% over rump. This is huge. And everyday rump mouths off w/ his garbage, more voters are turned off and will not support rump anymore.

(82,849 posts)Trump's modus operandi is to bluster and preen and gaslight until you doubt the plain evidence before your eyes. It feels like his brand is winning right up until the second it isn't winning, and there's nothing more to be gained. In his usual dealings, Trump just walks away from the mess he created and leaves behind a trail of broken promises and threats of expensive and time-consuming litigation. Most of his marks just cut their losses at that point and give up.
This isn't like that, however. It doesn't mean Trump isn't going to use his tried-and-true tactics, hoping against hope that he'll be allowed to walk away again. Whether he realizes he's waddled into the threshing blades and it's too late to turn back now is a question for future historians, but he's in deep shit as long as we keep the pressure on.

(7,721 posts)How is that an uphill battle? I don't see it that way at all. They are irrelevant, and they don't matter insofar as reality and the numbers for us to win in 2020.
