Ted Lieu: "Tomorrow I'm going to order my staff to line up and tell me..."

Ted Lieu
@tedlieu

Tomorrow I'm going to order my staff to line up and tell me what a calm, stable, & very smart person I am.

Awww, just kidding. I'm not a #stablegenius & my staff are not sycophants like @KellyannePolls.

Also, why is Trump suing to eliminate coverage for pre-existing conditions?

Let's just pick a date out of the air, shall we? Say, June 12, 2017:

https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/06/donald-trump-cabinet-meeting

TRUMP APPOINTEES TAKE TURNS PRAISING HIM IN BIZARRE CABINET MEETING
One reporter called it “the most exquisitely awkward public event I’ve ever seen.”

The public portion of the Cabinet meeting would, in more ordinary times, have ended at that point. Instead, the event remained open as each member of the Cabinet attempted to outdo the president’s praise for himself, thanking him profusely and occasionally genuflecting before the press as they described what a humbling, life-changing privilege it was to be a part of Trump’s efforts to Make America Great Again. It was, New York Times reporter Glenn Thrush tweeted, “the most exquisitely awkward public event I’ve ever seen.”

“Start with Mike,” Trump said, referring to Vice President Mike Pence, after instructing each Cabinet member to say a few words about the good work his administration is doing. Pence set the tone for the bizarre 11-minute spectacle that followed, heaping praise on the president while he sat quietly nearby, smiling. “It is the greatest privilege of my life to serve as the vice president to a president who is keeping his word to the American people,” he said.

And, if you can stomach it (I can't), the video from CNN:

What is wrong with these people?

How could any person with a sense of dignity behave like this?

He is the President of The United States and he wastes time gathering aides to stand there and repeat a lie about how he was calm and didn't throw a temper tantrum. You can see by the body language of these people that they seem to be dying a little inside. How could they not quit? I would rather work at Burger King than debase myself like that. (Not that there is anything wrong with working at Burger King. )

This is the sickest thing I ever saw.

You know that he must have been completely off his corker and scared the crap out of everyone in the room.

Their WH salaries are likely barely high enough for a middle class existence in DC. Surely they could find less demeaning jobs that paid as well or better, maybe in another city.

Towards the end, Reince Priebus became one of the major suck-ups in the room saying, "On behalf of the entire senior staff around you, Mr. President, we thank you for the opportunity and blessing you've given us to serve your agenda and the american people and we're continuing to work very hard every day to accomplish those goals."

I didn't see the meeting with Pelosi and maybe he didn't yell. But there are ways to have a temper tantrum without yelling. For example saying something ridiculous and then saying you are taking all your marbles and going home is also a temper tantrum.
