News discussion about NDAA

It might be Press TV but I think this is a good discussion about it by Dave Lindorff author of "The Case for Impeachment" of George W Bush, plus former CIA analysis Ray McGovern and anti-war activist Don DeBar.

It's been termed President Obama's New Year Gift to the American people.

Barack Obama ran for president in 2008 with promises to end extraordinary rendition and indefinite detention and shut down the gulag at Guantanamo Bay.

But four years later, not only those promises have not realized but he signs a bill into a law that authorizes the arbitrary and indefinite military detention of American citizens.

On this edition of the show we're asking how the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act will go down in American history.

And that I must throw these “potentially inflammatory” words up here on DU3,

on this screen, thereby perhaps suffering a hellfire of my own making,

Do I sound half-baked? Well, maybe I am. So what?

Please don’t bother me any further with these subtle mind-games,

or not so subtle, just tell me where to report,

Which FEMA train to get on,

To which FEMA internment camp.

Most of all, plz. prove me wrong of my worst suspicions,

is my highest dream for you and I and the whole collective.

See you on the other side.

Love, respect & solidarity,
