GWB may be a no show at the RNC, but the ghost of Katrina is front and center.

What does it mean for the Repubs that their convention may be upstaged by a natural disaster?

Gov. Jindal has already made the decision to stay in Louisiana. Good choice. But was he relieved
to not have to go to the event that is fast becoming a nightmare for the Repubs with women
jumping ship right and left? How convenient for him.

How is this going to spin for the Republicans? It may actually be advantageous for
them to have the media spotlight off of their racism and misogynism, let alone their
disregard for anyone not in the upper 1%.

What do you think, DU?

as, 'see, we identified a problem and allocated resources to fix it' and
try to take credit for the billions that went into strengthening the levee
system.

Is any one else concerned that the Repubs may try to turn this to their
advantage--away from tax returns and the assault on women?
