Intel chief warns Barr could imperil national security by declassifying documents



The nation’s intelligence chief expressed hope Friday that Attorney General William Barr would adhere to “long-established standards” during his investigation into the origins of the Russia probe — but warned the release of “highly-sensitive classified information” would imperil national security.

Apolitical intelligence? Thus implies, in the clearest possibly way, that WH decision makers only seek political intelligence for political gain.

It's almost like he's doing the same thing with the national security of this country. In other words, he's going scorched earth.

4. Misleading. You might say his polite vow that Barr will have full access to "appropriate

documents” contains a coded warning when he says he has confidence that Barr realizes the sensitivity of blah blah, BUT, unfortunately, hardly a warning couched as such.

Instead he says he is sure Barr respects national security concerns.

I wish he and other IC, including our foreign counterparts, would make a real protest. Not so far.
