The nation’s intelligence chief expressed hope Friday that Attorney General William Barr would adhere to “long-established standards” during his investigation into the origins of the Russia probe — but warned the release of “highly-sensitive classified information” would imperil national security.

Apolitical intelligence? Thus implies, in the clearest possibly way, that WH decision makers only seek political intelligence for political gain.

documents” contains a coded warning when he says he has confidence that Barr realizes the sensitivity of blah blah, BUT, unfortunately, hardly a warning couched as such.

Instead he says he is sure Barr respects national security concerns.

I wish he and other IC, including our foreign counterparts, would make a real protest. Not so far.
