Here are 5 steps China could take to hurt the US beyond more tariffs

1. Stop buying American products

2. Slow down customs clearances

3. Sell its U.S. Treasury holdings

4. Let the renminbi slide vs. dollar

As cited by Reuters, Ryan Castilloux, founding director of strategic metals consultancy at Adamas Intelligence, says that autos, renewable energy, defense, and technology would all suffer. There are no hard figures available yet for the extent of economic damage, but the consensus seems to be that if China turns off the tap of critical materials it would directly affect large chunks of the U.S. economy.

Putin wishes to see the collapse of the United States, as do the Chinese...China is willing to allow Putin to seek his revenge, because with it comes the fall of the US military...the one thing keeping the Chinese from taking back Taiwan!

Would you out a partner who had been able to put a corrupt, incompetent, psychotic, narcissist in position as president of the US?

The Chinese are going to sit back and watch as the Russians bring down the US...and when the smoke clears, they'll be picking at the bones of what remains!!!

Sees the collapse of the US as in its interests. China is rebuilding itself as the dominant world economic center, a position it held for centuries up until the early 1800s. The US is an important market, it’s economic collapse is not in China’s interests. They will wait Trump out. If they can help him out the door, they will do that.

That seems stupid
the Chinese government literally has an investment in this country -over 1.1 trillion $$ in treasury!

And why would they want to ruin one their best customers ? Hey when bad customers act up (trump ) the manager may ban them from the store for a time out but if they have bucks you eventually let them back in
Any gain over us may be inevitable more than intentional . Just by sheer numbers. Thier middle class is already thee size of the entire US population and it’s growing won’t be shrinking imo

I think you are right about Russia’s intent
Putin invests in lots of war toys and religion to help his authority and
Russia doesn’t have much to lose anymore it’s all gain
Very different imo

Putin’s play for ultimate control has ruined Russia’s opportunity to benefit from foreign direct investment.
Many US companies and even Russian partners have fled or lost their investments to Putin
As much as investors may be looking for new markets, they think twice about the Russian market.

I don’t believe they will do better in the near future with Putin in charge so authority and gaining power, spreading thier philosophy and causing others like EU or US to weaken is what they have left.
They are more like terrorist seeking destruction than economic underhanded plays made by China imo
Russias top export and import trader is China
So who’s knows of any disruption Putin may be creating in China ?
China would never tell or let it be reported !
