Whether or not people agree, there is a pretty good reason that the policy exists that protects the office of the President from constant investigation. That is to prevent politically motivated investigations. Obviously that is subject to point of view as the idiot has been saying "political harassment", however, think about (and I know this will be painful) if Hillary Clinton had not had the election stolen and was sitting in the Oval Office now (I know that it is too much to bear). The Republicans said there would be investigation after investigation from day 1. They would not have even waited for anything to happen, they would have made stuff up for the purpose of harassing Clinton. They did the same to her husband. Remember that the investigation that led to the sham of his impeachment began years before because of a land deal in Arkansas when Clinton was governor. It morphed into investigation of Hillary for firing staff in her Travel office, then into the Lewinsky scandal. If they didn't get him for that, they would have kept going. Starr and the Republicans are disgusting.
Nixon was a crook. Dirty as hell. Reagan was also corrupt, or had corrupt people around him. Bush Sr. and Jr. were elbow deep in impeachable offenses. The problem with Democrats has been that we want to govern and for government to be helpful to the general public. We often do not play politics because politics distract from governance. Republicans don't appear to care about governing. They play politics for power. That is why they always seem to be a step ahead. They don't care about the rules or seemingly about the majority of the people in the country. They carry less weight and thus move quicker.
No one should be above the law. The reality is the money can purchase resources that can find loopholes in the laws that keep people from paying the full measure of transgressions. We have always known that. What we have to do is keep supporting and pushing our leaders to do their jobs and continue to try to uncover the pretty obvious crimes that Trump continues to commit.
