will face criminal charges. And despite Barr, lawyers in the know have said SDNY prosecutors are very independent, NY AG definitely well able for Trump.
I hope he will come to rue the day he became an illegitimate president, for thus, his criminality began to be investigated.

I want him to recant every lie.

I want him to reimburse everyone he has cheated.

I want him to admit he is a Russian asset.

No, the SDNY is not going to have anything to say that differs from the rest of the DoJ.

If the NY AG were to issue an indictment, then that would immediately be the subject of a challenge that would go up the ladder in the NY state court system and then subject to review by the US Supreme Court after the NY court system was through with it.

The probability of the US Supreme Court allowing a state to criminally indict a president is about nil, due to the profound impact of such a decision.

In order to agree that a state may criminally indict a president, then you must agree that any state likewise had the authority to indict President Lincoln or President Obama for that matter, for whatever charges they could cook up.

At correcting your apparent erroneous belief that the SDNY is some separate organization from the DoJ?

Or at correcting your apparent belief that a state indictment would not be challenged on federalism concerns in a Supreme Court which the GOP has stacked?

Or is this simply another of your habitual troll accusations against other posters?

Not me. And the state of New York can indict after he leaves office. So nice try.

You don’t want him impeached, because you want to wait until he is out of office so he can be indicted.

Don’t you think hat one way to hasten his departure from office would be to impeach him?

Because it is difficult to understand why you wouldn’t want that.

Conviction is no possible if he is impeached and even then he doesn't go to jail.

I don’t care what some anonymous idiot said.

Impeachment removes him from office. Then he can be indicted.

I gather from your OP that you’d just as soon wait until January 21, 2020 at the earliest.

It sends the matter to the Senate for a trial, where the Senate majority absolutely will not remove him from power. Impeachment would be about the Democratic House showing they're willing to do their Constitutional duty, and laying all his corruption out there in a very public manner.

DT's choosing is AG.

That's very clear.

Impeachment will not remove him.
