He said that Dems in leadership make a big mistake thinking of the risks in terms of static analysis -- that circumstances tomorrow will be the same as they are today -- when we know from past experience that public opinion and concomitant risk will CHANGE as hearings receive attention and tell the story. The risk actually DIMINISHES if action begins now.
