Why is it OK for her to discriminate on the basis of age, race and sex?
Why is she hating on Baby Boomers.
This is not a good thing, for party unity, or for Democrats winning.

(62,444 posts)It appears you do not understand the sentence in which the phrase appears.
She refers to Democrats who are fearful of their Trumpy neighbors' aversion to anything but an elder white man.
I realize it is kind of a long sentence, but the reference is to prejudice on the part of Trump supporters, and is not an expression of a prejudice she holds.
This is just sad, really.

(42,770 posts)supports a young person would bring this trivia up? I am a Biden supporter - but Beto sure does look appealing. He stood up today and said - Do what is right - no matter what the political consequences are...IMPEACH. Same with WARREN - she spoke from her heart from the very beginning.

(14,249 posts)Would you please post that part so we'll know what you're talking about?
Thanks.

(14,249 posts)What does that have to do with the fact that the OP claimed she trashed older white men and, as proof, posted a tweet that did nothing of the kind?
cwydro
(51,308 posts)But youre all cool with that because you have no idea how gay people feel about those who are prejudiced toward us.
How bout if she was a white person making those same comments about black people? Nah, not important right?

She was disingenuously insulting Biden Supporters, though.. there's a long thread about it in DP..

(31,261 posts)But she was not racist. Her alternatives included younger White men and the White women's in the primary race.
The fact is, she is speaking reality. President Obama was always weakest with elderly Whites, even when in both cases he was by far the superior choice.

(51,308 posts)She never apologized. She even tried to say her account was hacked, but that was proven wrong.
She said she was getting the FBI to look into who hacked her. Ha. Never heard nothing more about that. Because that was bullshit.
I can forgive people who admit they have evolved etc., She just denied the whole thing, but its clear what she said and who she is.
Not being snarky to tell you to google it. Just much more info available than I could post here.

I think this kind of over dramatizing OP is just fun for some people. They just want to stir up a long nothing debate about nothing. And those who accepted the OP as fact because they say she is anti gay are not helping get to reality.
UniteFightBack
(8,231 posts)look like that. It's pretty OBVIOUS that Joy does not want Biden. She wants a black person or a woman.
Anyone who watches her show (like me faithfully) KNOWS this already no matter what her tweet says.

(14,906 posts)friends and neighbors won't vote for anyone except an elder white man. You know, based on... almost their entire life's experience. A little thing like that.
Here's a reality check for you: she's correct that a lot of Dem primary voters are f-ing terrified if they vote for Pete/Kamala/Amy/Cory/etc that they will be helping Trump get a second term, which will ensure our 3-branch constitutional republic with rule of law goes the way of the dodo...
She is both right and wrong. She is RIGHT that people ARE concerned about their f-ing moronic friends' and neighbors' voting habits. She is WRONG in her insinuation that people SHOULD NOT be concerned about their f-ing moronic friends' and neighbors' voting habits. Welcome to America, this s**t is complicated and blind idealists shoot themselves in the foot as often as not.
