US intelligence partners wary of Barr's Russia reviewBy Alex Marquardt and Zachary Cohen, CNN
Updated 4:58 AM ET, Thu May 30, 2019
Washington (CNN)Key allies who share intelligence with the United States could soon be dragged into the middle of Attorney General Bill Barr's politically-charged Justice Department review of how the Russia investigation began.
President Donald Trump has said he wants Barr to look into the role key intelligence partners, including the United Kingdom and Australia... Trump told reporters, "I hope he looks at the UK and I hope he looks at Australia and I hope he looks at Ukraine."
For now, those allies are trying to stay out of the fray, arguing it's a domestic issue. But the President has granted Barr -- not the intelligence community -- sweeping powers to decide what intelligence can be declassified.
That means Barr could potentially reveal intelligence shared with the US by other countries related to Russian election meddling and, in the process, risk damaging those critical relationships with foreign partners.

At least the Criminal-in-Chief has found a friend (or lover) in North Korea
(BBC) Trump on Kim Jong-un: 'We fell in love'
The US president told a rally in Wheeling, West Virginia that the North Korean leader had sent him "beautiful" letters...

Has the Criminal-In-Chief broken a record for US presidential meetings with a North Korean leader?
How many "summits" has Trump had with Kim Jong - a monstrous tyrant, who continues to test nuclear missiles that threaten the USA and MANY other nations?
And, in this VERY recent photo, why is the idiot saluting a North Korean military leader, who was only planning to shake his hand?

(4,066 posts)It's clear that Barr has a bias. He's very likely to selectively declassify material to support that bias.
He, clearly, already did that with his "summary" of the Mueller Report.

(34,105 posts)swallow their gorge and send him sweet nothings about how great he is we would all be just fine. I wonder what he would do without an enemy?
A narcissist never thinks that flattery is false or there to try to get something. Their first instinct is to believe it is true because in their little "my world" mind it is that and more.
Problem is none of the rest of us live in that world. We don't want to and could not ever anyway because it is Little Donalds World and nobody comes into play unless he has some use for us and if you do not play along you are enemy or ignored.
There are too many corruptible people around this guy. Maybe some of them share his vision, whatever the hell that really is, but I believe most of them know how to work with a guy like this and are using him to get around us and make their fortune or career. Think "my Rudy". How many self respecting people would allow a man like this to refer to him like that and smile about it?
Everyone else is left in the enemy camp or ignored camp and in this world that is never a good thing to do to others. This is going to be a shit storm for a very very long time. The only way I can see to save any type of relationship is for this country to get damned serious about election protection and impeachment. Both would be a sign of good faith to not only our country but to the rest of the world. They are tired of smacking their heads wondering what has gotten into us and have moved on to the dump them and protect ourselves from the insanity that has infected that entire country.
Of all the shitty, horrible, stupid, cruel and incendiary things this man has done this one could end this trust for a very long time.
