33. The impeachment hearings will be like a reality show on steroids

Trump will declare a tweet war on the hearings which will draw massive attention to them and the media will have a field day talking about them and about Trump. It’ll be bigger than the Lorrena Bobbie trial, the OJ Simpson trial, the Menendez brothers trials and Clinton’s impeachment.

Trump will not come out looking like anything but the thieving con man that he is. There will be debates galore all over the country, in classrooms, homes and at work. The people who love him right now will continue to but the rest of the country, the huge number of people who aren’t all that informed will learn the truth about him and they will go vote when the time comes.

One reason it’ll be so impactful is because we’re going into a Presidential election which is when Americans become interested in backing a candidate. And the candidates themselves will be forced to talk about Trump because he’s the big fat white elephant the middle of the room.

The Republicans will be the big losers so don’t buy into their shit about how impeachment will hurt us. They will have to answer for their support of Trump. It won’t be pretty.

It will keep everyone riveted to the proceedings, and the truth will come out.

Voters gave us a huge win in the 2018 midterms because they wanted something done about the mad man. If Democrats fail to impeach, I'm afraid those voters will come to believe we are as weak and ineffective on Trump as the GOP and not worth the time to go to the polls and vote.

We will never get the senate repukes to convict him because of obstruction of justice. I knew as soon as I read part one of the Mueller report and it said”we could not establish that anyone in the Trump campaign conspired with the Russians in their election interference activities” that we had no chance of removing him.

Only if the house can get some sort of evidence proving Trump conspired with the Russians do we have a chance of getting some repukes to jump ship and vote for impeachment. But considering Mueller’s team couldn’t do it I don’t have a lot of faith that the house can.

I would agree that they would need to be much more aggressive and offense-oriented. It would be called-for, and fair, in my opinion, to run ads against those Republican Senators up for re-election.
