http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/updates/3597Santorum: I Didn't Say I Don't Want To Help Black People
As part of his post-Iowa push, Rick Santorum appeared on CNN Wednesday night, where he was interviewed by John King.
King asked him about a recent incident in Iowa where he appeared to say and was reported as having said I dont want to make black peoples lives better by giving them somebody elses money; I want to give them the opportunity to go out and earn the money.
Santorum told King that he hadnt intended to say black people, and indeed that he had reviewed the tape and wasnt even sure he had said it.
"I didn't say black people. I started to say word and kind of went 'bleurgh' and mixed my thoughts. I started to say one word and came up with a different word and moved on."
(end snip)
The insanity strong with this one is.

He may have "meant to say" something else, but he actually said, and it was understood as "black people's lives"
