Barr isn't defending Trump. He's defending a right wing coup.
Why would anyone risk their career over Trump? Trump is temporary, and only one person.
Right wingers wouldn't think twice about hanging one person out to dry. Trump is a puppet. We need to cut off the hands of the puppeteers. There is much more at stake here than the WH. The Mueller Report is being suppressed to prevent further investigation which would expose a lot of nasty shit, and a lot of people. Those involved in this coup need to be exposed and dealt with very, very harshly.

3. I was just thinking something similar a few minutes ago.
He is a man on an urgent, evil mission. Though I also wonder if there’s a personal element to this too (his at least indirect ties to Russian oligarchs/ is he compromised, too?). That bizarre comment in his CBS interview, about “we all die,” suggesting he doesn’t care about at all his legacy or place in history. Also in that interview,I was struck by his uncanny resemblance (voice, behavior) to Cheney.

5. I could be all wrong, but I read Opus Dei in his face.
I definitely believe he is a man on a mission.

6. Opus Dei is a commitment. Isn't his wife into it?
Kompromat could also be a serious factor. barr has Russian involvements and cyber space does not forget.

11. Opus Dei, Russia jogged my memory of something
Our Lady of Fatima prophecies. Two of the kids were sainted, one died in 2005 (a 94yo nun). I was fascinated by supposed prophecies when I was a kid and read lots of “accounts”.
This is a quote from an article on Patheos: “Could it be that a re-Christianized Russia will then re-evangelize the world? Pope John Paul II once said priests would come not from Africa but from Russia to re-evangelize the West. Perhaps the future of the Church lies not in Europe, Africa or Latin America but among the long-suffering people of the cold Russian north, whom God’s Soviet enemies unwittingly prepared to survive a long, cold, hard winter.” Just wondering if Opus Dei is the equivalent of the fundy evangelicals. Trying to force fulfillment of “prophecies” while enriching themselves along the way. Just a thought... |

13. Could be. This is from a friend who said, 'watch the Opus people, especially the daily ones.'
This CPA friend's wife died in her 30's, long, painful death. He became a Catholic deacon. Eventually a priest. He was a moderate Republican type. Some of the new priests tended to really scare him. One actually wrote a letter to my then teenage daughter on abortion. Vehemently talked of 'infants being ripped from the Mother's womb.'
We showed the letter to my friend . . . he wasn't surprised. |

i hadn't made the connection but that same flat, expressionless, crackly voiced malevolence. cheney, mcconnell, and barr are truly evil people.
i'm finding it nearly impossible to listen to him. |

8. Assorted rw networks, may well feel, given progress and demographics, that they must
desperately seize this moment in history - to lock in rw 'values' while they can.

From the comment section after an article about Trump's Rose Garden meltdown in the Washington Post. You missed one of the most important slips - Daddy admitted to receiving phone calls from Jr BEFORE and AFTER the trump tower meeting. Listen again. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/a-trump-twitter-style-diatribe--live-from-the-rose-garden/2019/05/22/11954982-7cad-11e9-8bb7-0fc796cf2ec0_story.html?utm_term=.74debd3b23a1 |
