Fundie nut Bryan Fischer: Gays Have ‘No Business’ Being Republican

American Family Association mouthpiece Bryan Fischer spewed his weekly doses of bigotry in an interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on the GOP convention, saying gays have “no business” being Republicans.

Fischer particularly slammed groups like the Log Cabin Republicans, a gay right-wing group, arguing such organizations “undermine and subvert” the moral foundations of the Republican Party.

“They have no business being there. Our message to them is that your home is in the Democratic Party,” Fischer told the Post-Gazette. “These groups are actively working to undermine and subvert the Republican Party platform and the principles of the Republican Party.”

And he went on: “The Republican platform is very clean on the issues of marriage family and parenting, and these are people that are actively working against the principles of the party.” ...............(more)

Why would you want to be a part of a group that openly hates you?

I was about to post that I agree with this guy's conclusion, if not his logic.

Interested to hear the Log Cabin Republicans' response to this. Or as I call them: "Chickens For Colonel Sanders."

anti-helping those less fortunate, and pro-republican haters, and so much so, that they swallow their pride and vote for those that hate them. Like regular repubs, they must be just as greedy and comfortable with lying as the denizens that insult them every day.

Weird, but the only explanation I can think of.

When a parties platform is openly hostile to any group, why would that group choose to support them anyway?

It makes no sense.

heard of the log-cabin Republicans.

Supporting people who want you dead makes no sense. Supporting people who don't give a shit for your needs, makes no sense.

I'm picturing the first person who built a guillotine offering to try it out on himself. That's what being gay and Republican, or being female and Republican, or being any kind of an immigrant, including a very legal one, and Republican is like.
