Bachmann: GOP is ‘a party of women’ because I won straw poll

By Arturo Garcia
Tuesday, August 28, 2012 11:51 EDT

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) dismissed the idea of a Republican war on women Tuesday morning because she won the Iowa straw poll during her failed presidential campaign.

Bachmann appeared on Fox & Friends to fire back at the accusations against her party’s policies regarding reproductive rights, saying they have come about because President Barack Obama “can’t talk about his record.”

A recent CNN/Time Magazine poll of Florida voters shows Obama leading presumptive Republican candidate Mitt Romney by eight percentage points among women voters, and four points among all likely voters.

Without offering policy specifics, Bachmann told Gretchen Carlson that Obama was trying to create a “phony narrative” in order to win over female voters, and pointed to South Carolina Governor’s Nikki Haley’s upcoming appearance at the GOP convention as a sign the party is friendly to women.

I don't see what else could be intended by showing Bachmann's insane face peering through a broken door.

So see ladies, this crazy loon got to the primaries, so there couldn't possibly be a war on women.

paying twice as much to get 1/2 the return is actually a pretty good sign of how the GOP supports women.
