LOL! 'I Didn't Say BLACK': Santorum Says He 'MUMBLED' During Controversial Speech About Welfare

‘I DIDN’T SAY BLACK’: SANTORUM SAYS HE ‘MUMBLED’ DURING CONTROVERSIAL SPEECH ABOUT WELFARE

..............

"I looked at that, and I didn't say that," Santorum told O'Reilly. "If you look at it, what I started to say is a word and then sort of changed and it sort of -- blah -- came out. And people said I said 'black.' I didn't."

The GOP hopeful touted his past help of black colleges to further defend himself against criticism over the claims.

"And I can tell you, I don't use -- I don't -- first off, I don't use the term 'black' very often. I use the term 'African-American' more than I use 'black," Santorum said. "I can tell you as someone who did more work for historically black colleges, I used to have -- every year, I used to bring all the historically black colleges into Washington, DC to try to help them, because they get very little federal money through the bureaucracy, and so I help to try to introduce them to people in the Department of Education so they could have more resources."

Well, you know those blah people...

YouTube is a Republican's worst enemy. I'm sure it warms minorities hearts knowing that old, white people drawing from Social Security are so concerned about their being scammed by welfare and Medicaid. I guess in Santorum's mind, God doesn't like teh gays, but I clearly remember the Bible stating something about liars going straight to hell.

Oh, and he definitely most clearly said, 'black people'.

He would have stumbled around on his words if he had.

And what the hell is wrong with giving people Medicaid if they need it? Does he want them to die in the streets.. Do these people know that Medicaid is given to people for other reasons besides being low income.

First of all I don't use the term 'black' .....black ..... black ...

Secondly, in his speech in Iowa he was complaining about how Obama and Democrats spend tax dollars to get people dependent on Government so that Obama and Democrats can get your votes.

THEN, he goes on TV and brags about how he worked to get Federal money for some people.

He's lucky he wasn't sitting in a "no spin" zone when he said that.

ad nauseum about how he had so much more "gravitas" than the other "social" conservatives,
thanks to his long Congressional career, blah, blah blah.

Obviously, he needs some "trainin' up' before being exposed to national level prime time scrutiny. SG

that "proves" they are a friend to the black race? So he took the historically black colleges to Washington? At least it is not the black friend. And he uses AA but still didn't use it here when referring to the colleges.

Just saw that clip and he clearly says "black."
