78-year-old walks 2.2 miles everyday carrying sign defending DACA. Arrested by HS

?s=20

This elderly man is Alan Dornan from Somerville, Massachusetts walks miles every single day with a sign that says "I walk for dreamers and all immigrants.

He was just taken into custody by homeland security officers for civil disobedience.

KNOW HIS NAME

Alan Dornan is in pain all the time.

The 78-year-old resident of Wethersfield, Connecticut, has scoliosis and spinal stenosis, a narrowing of the spaces within the spine that can place pressure on the nerves and cause muscle weakness and pain.

But every day, Dornan braves the elements and the physical discomforts he experiences to walk 2.2 miles, holding a sign to advertise his purpose to passersby: “I WALK for DREAMers and all IMMIGRANTS.”

He started on January 25, and he hasn’t missed a day since.

Really? "Unrec"? The OP doesn't imply that. It seems like a dangling fragment. FailureToCommunicate Jul 2019 #7
Ahhh, there is no unrec option anymore. That was years ago. nt USALiberal Jul 2019 #9

He planned his civil disobedience to occur on the 21st anniversary of his son's death.

"he wasn't arrested for walking, he went to the courthouse with a group of people to purposefully demonstrate and get arrested for civil disobedience. It was his intention to do so. I salute him."

I respect his efforts, but the OP implies that he was arrested for walking. He was arrested for civil disobedience because that’s what he was doing.
