1. K&R, Most of these were not spur of the moment visits so whatever pics there are its 5 times worse

... than what is depicted.

There's immoral crap happening at the border as a policy and not one off "bad apple" minimizing.

2. I read yesterday that CNN got in as well.

Same facility where the the NGO's where advocating for the detainees. According to the reports they tried to sanitize the place before CNN got there. The place reeked of disinfectant.

No amount of disinfectant can cover up what they are doing.

3. This administration

is turning out to be worse than I even imagined it would be.

My confidence in my country is fading away very quickly now. The realization that the problem is not just a few extremist right wing politicians but it’s the people themselves. When a despot like Trump can maintain 40% approval, then we are in big trouble and the future is bleak.

Let’s say the economy goes south and the approval drops into the mid 30s. Is that really good news? All that would say is that there are millions of people out there that are OK with fascism and systematic human rights violations at the hands of an agency overrun with disgusting racist pigs...as long as the economy is OK. Meanwhile Justice Roberts is convinced that racism is over so we can gut the voting rights act.

Talk me off the ledge, but these things are connected. I always kind of thought Malcolm Nance was out there but I am not so sure. This is orchestrated. The is a coordinated effort to destroy liberal democracy and this attempt at ethnic cleansing is part of it.
