Meghan McCain is tired of "feeling like a caged animal" and may leave "The View"

Meghan McCain is tired of “feeling like a caged animal” and may not return to “The View” next season.

The conservative commentator is exhausted by negative publicity and the constant turmoil on the ABC talk show, according to sources close to her who spoke to The Daily Beast.

The 34-year-old McCain has engaged in on-air clashes with liberal co-hosts Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin, and she’s been hit with a series of damaging leaks about her alleged obnoxious and toxic behavior offscreen.

Sources told The Daily Beast that McCain is emotionally drained, angry and increasingly isolated, despite making nearly $1 million a year discussing current events on the daytime TV show.

“(She’s) feeling like a caged animal,” said one McCain confidante.

Her outbursts, disrespect for her co-panelists and screeching over them, when they try to voice an opinion or make a statement, should have gotten Meghan the boot, long ago.

She probably has no chance of a job at Fox News, and I'm thinking no reputable news or panel show would ever want to deal with her Prima Donna attitude.

But, she can always fall back on her Art History degree.

Maybe if you actually had some principles*, Ms. McCain, and could articulate a reasonable point of view, you wouldn't have quite so much trouble. But, yeah, pouting and emitting your mean little squirts of uninformed bile isn't very persuasive or endearing. You feel isolated because you've isolated yourself. You know what a responsible adult would do? No? I'm not surprised. Grow up.

*Besides the standard "Me first and fuck you."

Yelling at the crew and then saying "just kidding," stuff like that.

Squabbles with co-hosts on and off camera.

Nothing worth repeating in detail, just stupid stuff. I don't watch the show...I just see daily "Megan had another tantrum" headlines on Raw Story.

Fox News won't have her, it would enrage Trump. She doesn't have enough credibility for either MSNBC or CNN. So, she can suck it up for a million bucks a year, and be Joy Behar's punching bag for that kind of money.

Back when I was a kid, one of the silly things that young guys say is, "Would you take a punch in the face from Mohammed Ali for a million bucks?" It was just one of the goofy things we'd say to talk macho. Well, Meghan is getting the million bucks, and doesn't even have to have her pretty face smacked!

"feeling like a caged animal," while she defends the guy literally cramming people in cages. Forcing them to drink out of toilets, not letting them shower, no clean clothes, no toothbrushes, no doctors, no medicine....

meghan whines people are mean to her as she screams and yells at them.

She defends the man who basically said he is happy her father is dead.

The problem having a Conservative voice on the show AT ALL.

It makes sense that the producers feel they need that frisson, and appeal to Trump-voting white women, but in fact, there's no longer any points of agreement to be found between Conservatives and Librulz. Trump-voting white women don't watch.

No matter who replaces her, it will devolve into shouting.

She needs to learn how to state her views properly instead of acting like an emotional 14 year old. Her behavior is the reason she gets no respect from the other panelists, not her ideas. They disagree with Republican guests on the show, but they’ll show them respect if they handle themselves like an adult.

plenty of recently-caged "animals" in this country who might prefer to be somewhere else. not likely to happen for them, since they're actually locked in cages. but you, you get to walk your sassy piehole off stage left anytime you like. must be nice.

the injustice overwhelms me at times.
