I am asking Ben Ray Lujan to sponsor legislation.

His office will "pass the suggestion along" but it will not happen.

Still, if many many Congresscritters got the same suggestion, perhaps something might develop.

So here it is:

Every child refugee or asylum-seeker who has been tortured by this Administration shall be issued immediate, unconditional full citizenship.

Every adult refugee who has been tortured by this Administration shall be issued conditional full citizenship, with the sole requirement that within five years they complete the citizenship exam successfully at which time they become full citizens.

We must make reparations to the people who are being tortured in the name of America, if we ever want to overcome this shame.

determinedly,
Bright
