They have been going off since 2 this afternoon.
I am getting crazy. If I owned a gun I would be dangerous.
Hoe do people afford to spend so much money on something they just blow up?

What's more, not a single American flag being flown anywhere in the city, far as I could tell.

(18,866 posts)I just hate the 4th. I am always up all nite and my nerves just get so frazzled from the constant booming.
This year was a lot worse because of the whole Trump thing.

(16,373 posts)My puppy is taking it better than I thought she would. The pops and booms don't seem to bother her that much, but those high-pitched hissing things scare her to death, as they do me. They are so obnoxious. On top of the man-made fireworks, we have Mother Nature pitching in with lightning and thunder. I'm hoping it will pour so the revellers will retire indoors. I feel sorry for the people who have to work tomorrow. Now I'm also hearing gunfire, which is dangerous.
On edit: It just started to hail!

I'm surprised, since we got home at about ten o'clock, I haven't heard any fireworks sounds, and we usually do.
