Presidential July 4th speech. Glorify the military. Fuck that freedom stuff
As much as Trump fucked up his "speech" yesterday, he continued his never ending aim of fucking America.
The Fourth of July has always been about the founding of America and freedom (for white men.)
Yet to listen to the orange asshole yesterday, America is about the glorification of our military: President bone spurs just loves tanks, planes, people in uniform with weapons, and the fact that it's his finger on the nuclear button.
The clueless prick doesn't understand what America is about. To him, it's about money, power, control, and grabbing pussy. This is our president. This is who millions of Americans voted for. And, the electoral college aside, does this beast represent what America has become?
Well, if you watch Faux "news," he's "The Greatest."
All of us here on DU know the country is fucked up. But can it be repaired? Even after the horrible creature is dragged kicking and screaming from the White House, can the past 30 or 40 decades of Republican sabotage of democracy be repealed and rebuilt?
I don't know. But once we're rid of Trump, the Republican Party, in it's present form, must go. They have no concept of freedom, democracy or individual liberty. They have one goal. Absolute, total rule. Forever.
Republicans are our mortal enemies. Forget that at your own peril.
And they are why that orange prick could stand up there yesterday and talk about America's military rather than about what America used to be. And what we once again must be. And it sure as hell isn't about our military might.
