he once worked for a law firm that later---after he left---briefly represented Epstein. BUT---the fact that he got his AG job by writing a 19 page unsolicited love letter which basically said "Whatever the Donald does or says is just dandy with me!" is not a conflict of interest and is no reason to recuse from the obstruction of justice/conspiracy investigations.
Is that the BS we're being force-fed on an ongoing basis?

(9,426 posts)been confirmed in the first place. Toady, tRump ass kisser, gop traitor from day one. He does fit in perfectly with this administration. Not a single honest, admirable, respectable member in the entire group. The British ambassador told the truth, now he is ostracized. He said what many in the gop do not have the courage to admit.

(2,945 posts)CDs in Epstein's residence when it was raided and that one of the CDs was titled "Barr." The prosecutors informed the court that they have not yet reviewed the evidence, only collected it. I am anxious to hear more about this Barr CD as whatever is on this CD will probably be the reason he recused himself.

(32,633 posts)... who was a school administrator and he hired Epstein to teach full-time in the same school with no teaching degree, or any degree at all. How did Bill Barr's father see Epstein as qualified to be a teacher? Maybe he had something on him and it wasn't academic. That's how these guys operate.
I'm glad the feds got the evidence, we'll see how this plays out.

(13,225 posts)This, however, was not the first connection between Barr and his family and the disgraced pedophile. In 1973, Barrs father Donald, the headmaster at Manhattans Dalton School, hired Epstein as a calculus and physics teacher.
While hiring Epstein, a noted mathematics genius, was not strange on its face, the hire was unusual for a number of reasons. Epstein had not earned a college degree as he dropped out of New Yorks prestigious Cooper Union. The other odd circumstance was that the new teacher was only 20 years of age.

(32,633 posts)There's something underhanded and very sketchy about all of this. I hope they arrest that girlfriend of his, she must know a lot and she's part of the trafficking if not the other stuff.

(3,764 posts)20 or 30 years ago teaching standards were a lot looser. And if it was a private school even more so.

(6,448 posts)As far as how he got the teaching job, Barr's father got a note from Epstein's mother. (The kids won't get the reference.)

(1,702 posts)His father hired Epstein and maybe he doesn't want to have any connection to Epstein open for questioning. Barr also got a "tRUMPism" in by saying "this happened a long time ago".
