(1,977 posts)But just like when Trump installed Whitaker as interim AG, he only needs Barr to relay to him what the DOJ has and who the witnesses are and that will give him a legal advantage if anyone is saying his name.

(19,558 posts)The distinction Barr is trying to draw here makes zero sense. Here's what I think went down: Trump lost his shit over the recusal, and Barr set the career ethics officials opinions aside to stand up for his boss because he didn't want go the way of Jeff Sessions.
