Judge Sullivan wants to know what the hell is going on (with Flynn)? (Original Post)

(7,947 posts)1. Meaning?
The whole Flynn thing baffles me, why he got such good treatment from the prosecutors, why the judge was so mad, why he and his awful son were out raising money from GOPers, why we have heard so little of what dirt he has to have....

(15,170 posts)2. I think there's a lot of stuff going on under the sheets.
You know, the types of things that voters, citizens aren't supposed to know.
The connections between the vested bankers and vested judiciary and vested malfeasants are pretty strong.

(5,268 posts)4. Sounds like DOJ changed from designating Flynn a witness, to calling him a co-conspirator
Judge Sullivan rightly wants to know what's up with Flynn objecting to now being called a co-conspirator rather a witness in the trial. Definitely throws a wrench into Flynn's sweetheart cooperation agreement where he expected to go free.

(82,849 posts)5. I read through the NYT story on this
Link via MSN here.
It's a bit complicated, and I'll probably butcher some of the details. Apparently Flynn is now changing his testimony as regards the case against Bijan Kian, claiming that he can't now testify to matters that he knows to be false. Flynn's sentencing on his guilty plea was delayed due to his promise of cooperating in the case against Kian having to do with being an unregistered agent of Turkey, trying to turn the U.S. against an opponent of the murderous thug Erdogan.
Flynn got a reprieve from his sentencing on the promise of his testimony against Kian. Since then, though, Flynn has changed lawyers and changed his tune. Federal prosecutors, who previously went easy on Flynn due to the promise of his testimony against Kian, now want to change his status from "cooperating witness" to "unindicted co-conspirator" with Kian. Flynn's new attorneys don't much care for that, though it's difficult to conjure up a legal rationale for disputing that now that Flynn is backtracking on his promise to testify.
At the end of the Times' story, they identify one of Flynn's new lawyers as one Sydney Powell, who apparently hawks t-shirts with caricatures of Robert Mueller, James Comey, and others under the hashtag CreepsOnAMission. So you can probably draw some conclusions about Ms. Powell's bona fides as an officer of the court.
