If you don't know me by now....

There was an old love song from the 70's that lamented that "you'll never ever going to know me".

If people do not know the man in the White House by now, it is a waste of time trying to further educate them. He has shown the world who he is. If that is still someone they can vote for, there is no use to waste any more energy on them. Birds of a feather flock together. We must accept that.

Instead, we should re-direct our energies to getting people, that do not believe like him, to the voting booths. If people are still willing to vote for a liar, a deceiver, a likely rapist and child molester, a criminal in most aspects of his life, a moral failure, then they cannot be saved. They are of like character.

They will never admit to any character flaws in their president, although they are in full view every single day. Study them. Stay away from them. They are bad for your health and well-being. But, don't waste your time on trying to change them or trying to educate them. If they have not changed by now, they are never going to change.

my Representative will never be a Democrat, I get to vote for Senator and president and other state offices.

I see plenty of Trump 2020 banners already.

There are basically 2 types of Trumpers; racist, bigoted, misogynist, Democratic hating gun loving critters, and religious Talibangelicals.

The first type of people have learned to hate from an early age.
The religious supporters believe in predestination, believe that Trump is God's chosen one.

No way to change either groups minds, they are zombies.

Funny but back in the 70's it wasn't so bad in our small town. One 4th of July parade we had a Republican Rep and Democratic Rep riding in the parade in the same car.

In the 70's I served 2 terms on borough council as a Democrat, however I did lead a group of townspeople who wanted to stop the powers that be from stripping coal and fracking for gas on our pristine watershed. We still have Democrats on borough council today, but that's it.

2. Yup (Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes, then Simply Red--I tend to like the latter best)

Too nice a song to associate with the likes of Trump, but point taken. We damn well know what he is about, but the denial among his supporters is baffling...

5. I'm more worried about Trump supporters than I am of him.

If that many people in this country are thinking like that, we're in real trouble, folks. They're also indoctrinating their children. Think about that. We have to get a Democratic President and a Democratic House and Senate in place or we can forget about a bright future for this country.

7. If people are still supporting Trump, it's unlikely that they will ever abandon him.

For one thing, those who don't really agree with his hateful rhetoric would have to admit that they made a mistake, and they aren't ready to do that yet. I don't know what it would take to make them turn against him if he hasn't already crossed their threshold of what is considered acceptable behavior.
