In that European countries from the EU can enter the US as tourists and can stay up to 3 months. If they over stay the 3 months, that would make them "undocumented" aliens. They arrive through the airports and as tourists. I am not justifying anything, just trying to explain the difference.

that they allow visitors to stay six months.
The Immigration folks in Miami laugh every time I say five days, I am the only sibling who does not have US citizenship so I know about visitors' visas. The visitors' visa is valid for 10 years. I've been a visitor from the late 60s.

The old adage of "if you're Brown stick around" no longer applies.

If you're Black, well then, you're guilty of SWB (Something While Black).

the ICC would get involved or even the United Nations that this regime is committing crimes against humanity.

Separating people and conducting raids, this will not end unless we clearly scream that this is not Normal.

18. A few years ago, some over-zealous idiot in uniform in Alabama detained a visiting German
Mon Jul 15, 2019, 03:17 PM

The guy had no residence permit. Well, duh, wonder why? He was a visiting executive of Mercedes-Benz, which has invested over a billion in the State of Alabama to build a plant, and given jobs to thousands of locals. I don't know if the arresting cop still has his job, but if he does, he probably doesn't brag too much in public about harassing a manager of the German company that employs half his town. If the cost weren't so high, I would have encouraged Mercedes to move to another State, and blame Alabama's version of "law enforcement." THAT would have sent a message or two.
