House Dem Explodes on Ex-Acting ICE Director at Hearing: 'I'm Not Calling on You, Sir!'

Congressman Gerry Connolly (D- VA) erupted at today’s House hearing on child separation and allegations of mistreatment at border facilities, even snapping at former acting ICE director Thomas Homan at one point.

“I don’t really care what their motivation was, whether asylum or economic betterment,” Connolly said. “they’re not to be treated as subhumans… You can talk all you want about whether the poor Border Patrol is overwhelmed, that makes no excuse for how we are treating children! If there is one basic value that ought to unite us as Democrats and Republicans, as Americans, is how we treat children!”

An emotional Connolly asked, “Is there no limit to what you will justify in this administration when it comes to the mistreatment of our fellow human beings and do you have no shame about the facts, as our colleagues said this morning, it’s all done in the shadow of the American flag?”

He questioned DHS acting IG Jennifer Costello about the office’s findings on the conditions at some facilities and how people are being trated.

As Connolly teed off on “hardly humane care” he’s heard about, he invited someone to comment and their frustrations. Homan said he’s “extremely frustrate.”

Connolly shouted, “I’m not calling on you, sir!”

“Of course not,” Homan said. “This isn’t about trapsparency…”

“You’re not at the border!” Connolly shouted. “You’re not at the border right now! You’re in a hearing room! It’s my time!”

Guards begged them not to send any more money because they were not trained as Social workers.

I just listened to a few of the women.. They have no trouble speaking out. Just wish they would settle down, quit attacking other Democrats. I think more people would listen to them.

Of course the media is no help. That is something they need to learn.

5. I watched a good portion of the hearing, and that calloused SOB couldn't care less...

...about Connolly, about children, about brown skinned people. He is a real piece of shit, and the numerous times I've seen his vile puss on fox and listened to his hateful rhetoric, it's quite apparent that he has nothing but contempt and disdain for Democrats, liberals, and anyone who doesn't back the jabba's hateful practices on our southern border. He's an old border patrol big wig, and a seasoned "old school" racist from the police force. The coward knew exactly what he was doing when he appointed him head of DHS. He's as evil and sick minded as they come.

was a Congressional Aide in the Seventies said this,when there is or are Hearings dealing with a Department within Government,rule one was,never piss off a Congressman because that Congressman can make your life a living hell. He or she controls your paycheck.

When children are abused or living in squalor, many social workers--believing they're "overwhelmed"--merely don't do their jobs and falsify forms. Why can't these overwhelmed Border agents do the same? Is there a bounty on brown people?
