Barack Obama presided over a nearly $1 trillion reduction in the budget deficit, from $1.4 trillion to $585 billion. By the end of his first term, Donald Trump, who bankrupted 5 casinos, will have almost entirely reversed that with a deficit of $1.1 trillion by the end of 2020.

4. Republicans really do not care about deficits.

They ONLY care about who is getting the major distribution of the fruits of our labor.

Democrats typically want it spread around in ways that will make most people be able to afford at least the basics of life and to improve infrastructure to keep our economy and society operating.

Republicans want the fruits of our labor distributed to the wealthiest people in the country. They want a populace that has enough to be able to serve the needs of the wealthiest people. That is all.
