I love Bob Ross - and I don't say that about too many things or people. When I first started watching his shows on PBS, I had the same reaction that the lady in the video, Mrs. Kowalski, did - I was mesmerized by his skill to paint so quickly and craftily the things I like looking at - landscapes. He's was no Grand Master, in the formal sense, but none of them or their paintings ever brought to me the sum total of happiness and enjoyment that Bob did and does.

Tip for insomniacs: when you can't sleep, put on a Bob Ross video to help you relax and drift off. He's my go-to for that - works every time, usually in less than 5 minutes. The don't call him 'The Human Quaalude' for nothin'.
