https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/452949-feds-warns-ufo-enthusiasts-to-think-twice-about-storming-areaThe Air Force gave a word of caution to the thousands of people planning to storm Area 51 in Nevada later this year, warning the UFO enthusiasts that the military stands ready to protect America and its assets.
Pressed by The Washington Post on Friday about how officials plan to respond to those who turn up to the Nevada base, Air Force spokeswoman Laura McAndrews declined to elaborate on specific details.
However, she did issue a warning to those who may be serious about a plan to infiltrate the Nevada Air Force base.
[Area 51] is an open training range for the U.S. Air Force, and we would discourage anyone from trying to come into the area where we train American armed forces, McAndrews told the paper.

(16,061 posts)There are red lines marking the areas you can't go. One of our guys made the mistake of crossing one.
It took us 1/2 a day to get him out of the brig.
Storming any military base is not a good idea.

(34,661 posts)bring it baby. Most folks have zero clue as to the what where and how of area 51. First off,it was 111 degrees out there yesterday. Just using the Temp from Rachel Nevada which btw you have to travel through to get to 51. Secondly, with all the Ryolite dust flying and the combination of 110 plus heat and zero humidity,it gets damn touch and go if you are not acclimated. Main thing to remember is the Security Guard Company that patrols all of the Air Force Bombing range is staffed with a real bunch of Gunners.
Most of the research that was being done at 51 has moved further northwest because of security.
