(25,183 posts)between the Orange Menace and the Squad is exactly what the former wants. He wants to drown out Democratic messages of our presidential candidates by making a squabble between himself and four Representatives who are not on the primary ballot.
Every time one of the Squad tweets back at Trump, and it gets news coverage, Trump wins.

(16,165 posts)he pushes buttons, gets a response, that sidetracks all discussion.
They should just ask him about his great healthcare plans, his plans to destroy social security and medicare, his plan to destroy public education and the rest.
let him wallow in the mud that he wants to create.
All they have to say is, " he spoke aloud and said nothing".

(25,183 posts)the Democratic presidential candidates should do the challenging, and have the space to do so.
Look, if you're for one of the front runners, then you should applaud this, because O'Rourke, Buttigieg, and Klobuchar are going to get that much less coverage. But don't be surprised if the same thing goes on during the general election. It worked for Trump before, there's no reason to believe he won't do it again.
He'd love to spend from now until Election Day in Twitter wars with the Squad, it will drown out any message that Biden, Warren, or Harris are trying to get across. If the choice is between AOC (and all she represents) and Trump and all he represents, he knows how that's going to sell with the mushy middle.

(10,151 posts)So, a person should respond back the first time. Just so folks know without a doubt you don't agree. But if the bully responds to your post, end it there. Don't respond to the response to your defence.
But allowing someone to say whatever and not at least objecting the first time, implies you just might agree.

(25,183 posts)that anyone on the Squad could possibly agree with anything Trump has ever or will ever do?
Farmer-Rick
(10,151 posts)Trump supporters may. Then Trump could go brag, "See they agree with me or they would of responded," or something like that.I wouldn't leave it up to them to think it through. I would make it clear.

(25,183 posts)any lies they want to hear. We're not trying to get his base, we're trying to get the people that are more frightened of him than they are of any caricature of us.
