2. I once got a warrant for my arrest for failing to pay

An $80 late registration fee. I forgot to renew my tags but....I had put the money in the mail addressed as indicated on the ticket the same day I got the ticket.

I later called the post master to let them know the mail failed to arrive and cancelled the first check. My spouse kindly drove me to the courthouse to pay the fine and the $40 late fee.

But for $120 they would go to the expense of issuing a bench warrant (I bet the judge had more important things to do) and arresting me to put me in jail at what cost? It would have been easily more than $120. What a waste of our tax dollars.
