A musician friend posted it on fb a couple minutes ago. I called WMNF to give them a heads-up... they're going to try and get a couple people there to check it out.

7. Update...

Just heard back from friend. Protest is non-violent, just really noisy. Police are diverting it away from downtown. No ID on who's protesting.

9. It would be helpful to know if they are Ron Paul protesters, Code Pink, Veterans for Peace, or

Occupy...else your OP would have one wondering if all protesters go nuts.

10. I wasn't able to find out who the protest group was.

Code Pink has been pretty active, as has the Romneyville campers... but I don't know if it was them or another group.

12. I heard this morning on the radio that Code Pink disrupted Ryan's speech.

I thought something had happened. I believe it wasn't the first time, also. The crowd started cheering abnormally loudly and Ryan seemed to pause, as if he'd been thrown off.

My hope is that the bulk of the disruptions occur tonight. Human microphone, anyone?
