When Barack Obama wins re-election - I want to hear the word Mandate come out of his mouth.

These rethugs have thrown all their lies, their hatred and venom at this man, and voter suppression....

and when he wins re-election, he deserves to stand up taller and prouder than he ever has in his life.

And yes, his re-election will be a mandate from the people of this country that have had enough of rw lunacy &
theft from the middle class.

2. I want to hear that word as well. but the word we are likely to hear is "compromise" instead.

He has recently claimed that if/when he wins re-election, the Republicans will be willing to reach common ground with him because there would be no more reason for them to fight his re-election after a second term.

I have no idea why he is still so optimistic about common ground compromise, but he claims that he is.

perhaps they have not given him enough hints?

been busy rationalizing a "need" to do exactly that.

Where they telegraph, he often follows, I can only hope that trend will change.

9. My personal belief is that anyone that acted like FDR would get approvals in the 80's at this point

in our history because the masses that are currently ignored are all hurting pretty badly and could use some help (like the "financial masters" have been receiving during their recent "hard times&quot .

I fear however that the only approval rating that counts comes from big money donors and bundlers in our modern political age - those that FDR fought so hard for didn't have any money then, just as we have no money now, so, in this modern political age there will be no such champion, as political will requires large donations in this brave new world.

I wish I could conclude otherwise, believe me, for my own sanity, I wish I could conclude otherwise.
I simply can't
