Trump made a surprise appearance at a wedding reception at his New Jersey golf club.

The crowd chanted, 'USA! USA!' President Trump popped into a wedding reception at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, on Saturday night, prompting the bride, groom and guests to chant, "USA! USA!"

Groom P.J. Mongelli told CNN that Trump first dropped into the cocktail hour to meet bride Nicole Marie and other family members. Mongelli said they'd sent Trump multiple invitations but didn't know if he'd actually show up. "It was a complete and utter surprise," Mongelli said. Mongelli said he asked the President for a favor -- to greet the guests at the reception.

Video posted on social media showed Trump, wearing a dark suit but no tie, standing in a doorway and waving to the cheering crowd. The President motioned for the newly married couple from Staten Island to approach and they stood on either side of him, pumped their fists and led the chant, "USA! USA!" the video showed.

"He was such a gentleman," Mongelli said. "He was aces." Mongelli said he and his wife are both strong Trump supporters, as were most of the wedding guests. The couple got engaged at the golf club in November 2017, he said.

Get married at a Trump property, there's a possibility Old Scratch will show up.

They're happy about it now; I wonder how they'll feel about Trump in their wedding pictures in, say, 5 years?

I got the impression he has dropped by others without an invitation. Still you have already self selected by having a reception at a Trump property. I guess most couples are comfortable with taking the focus off the bride (which is the primary purpose of the wedding).

It would be funny if he did drop by a reception where the couple was not happy about it. Perhaps the bride slaps him as he tries to grab her. I would pay good money to see that.

He likes dropping in on wedding receptions to give the bride a presidential hug and kiss.

The bride and that hand in the lower left look dangerously close to deportation brown.

They dangle the possibility of a "presidential dropby" to lure customers.

In years to come, these events will bear the stench of the weddings Hitler attended to the delight of the happy couples, who later tried to pretend they'd never been anywhere near him.

by advertising their wedding as "MAGA-themed" and holding it at his golf resort. It wasn't a surprise where he just dropped in; it was free publicity and they knew it and he knew it. Vanity Fair is on it: https://www.vanityfair.com/style/2019/07/trump-wedding-maga-new-jersey

Well, if you’re going to hold a “Make America Great Again”-themed wedding at Donald Trump’s own Bedminster golf club, you might as well brace for a presidential wedding crasher. The flattery and spotlight proved too tempting for a battered Trump to resist this weekend, as the president dropped in on a much-publicized MAGA wedding to greet the bride and groom.

Per TMZ, the New Jersey wedding of PJ Mongelli and Nicole Marie practically rolled out a red carpet for the commander in chief to make an appearance, between numerous invitations, a scrapbook of their fan encounters and social media pages splashed with adoration for Trump. Likewise, their 2017 engagement even took place at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster, where the wedding itself was also held.

Trump, visiting the club for the weekend, dropped by the reception to greet the bride and groom. The New York Post adds that he was introduced to the couple, and even put his arms around them as the crowd broke into “USA!” chants. It is unclear if he stayed any longer, accommodating Mongelli’s reported request.

The reception hall was also said to be lined with flags reading “Trump 2020.” Amazingly, this wasn’t the only Trump-themed wedding making the social-media rounds in recent days.
