With 3.195 million (2018) estimated population that's a million or more.

I don't remember him doing too good a job helping islanders after Hurricane Georges in 1998. No ATM's, no phones, huge gas lines.

Vieques and Roosevelt Roads Naval station closed down depriving many people jobs back in the Y2K days on the island.

Ricardo doesn't want to resign and be a family embarrassment, so he will make the people suffer instead, if he has his way.

here on the mainland we're much too complacent, even at this late date. we need to be out there.

I'm guilty as hell. I can't stand the heat here in NC. I got rearended. those are the reasons I didn't make it to the last 2 protests I had intended to attend. I got no excuse.

I hope that is behind you. This is very inspiring. I used to live in PR. My heart breaks for the citizens. He announced that he wouldn't run for reelection but with so many people calling for his resignation he wouldn't win anyway.

Ok, too much, too little.

Good luck to PR. I'm sure that they'd do better without Uncle Sam trying to screw them every chance.

I also like the occasional bad pun. I thought about it after I posted but I am just too lazy to change it. I too am a captive of the oppressive temperatures.

But on those occasions when protests fill the streets, the local coverage is dominated by whiners who can't believe the police are letting "those people" block traffic, and why can't they protest some other time that doesn't inconvenience someone, and some windows got broken, and some jerk got pushed around or splattered with a milk shake (That had concrete in it! An attentive cop smelled concrete, whatever that smells like). The protesters are represented by some guy in a rainbow fright wig, and footage of him and his antics are all that airs on the side of the protesters.

RESIGN NOW, RESIGN NOW, RESIGN NOW

Or LET THEM GO, LET THEM GO, LET THEM GO

OR GO FUCK YOURSELF, GO FUCK YOURSELF, GO FUCK YOURSELF while holding Agent Orange signs

you get my point.
