I'm not looking forward to next year.
We always say there is no bottom for Trump. Because in fact...there really and truly is no bottom. This guy is going to pull some evil maneuvers out of his ass that a normal person could not even dream of.
I think things are bad now, with his attacks on the squad, etc. And it's still early. I'm not really a praying person, but I'll pray that somehow he is removed from office before then.

(17,421 posts)the period between election day and Jan 20 is going to be hell. We can probably forget about a peaceful transition...there probably won't be any transition. He'll either:
1) Incite violence
2) Refuse to accept the results until he is hauled out of the White House
3) Hole up in his bedroom with Big Macs and ice cream

(63,221 posts)Most likely on Iran, China if they are still giving him problems, Canada, Sadiq Khan's house, Latin America, a selection of Islamic and non-Islamic "shithole" countries, and San Francisco, LA and any other large metropolitan area that overwhelmingly voted against him.
Seriously, I would not be surprised if he "went nuclear" since he is the type of person that believes if HE does not have power over the way the world is being run, then nobody should have it. I just hope that there are cooler heads surrounding him who will anticipate this and keep him as far away from the codes as possible.

The clearly racist chants/tropes at his recent rally has been described as 'transactional racism.' Meaning (whether you buy the transactional descriptor or not) he'll use anything at his disposal to gain attention and churn his supporters. Even if it means inciting violence which, of course, he'll claim he's had no part in.
Omarosa revealed something I hadn't heard before, namely that Trump wanted a white on black showdown on The Apprentice, two teams selected by virtue of race to have a go at one another. When others suggested this was a bad idea, that it could spark racial animus on a national level, he disagreed. It would be great TV, he claimed, and a giant ratings boost. As for the racial problems it would incite, he said: No problem. He would handle it because everyone knew he was a great diplomat/negotiator.
The man has no moral compass or conscience. It's always about him and his raging narcissism.
So, yeah. It's going to get uglier, even more crass and despicable.
