Ask the Apache, Creek, Chickasaw, etc. Ask the native Eskimo or the native Hawaiian. Ask those from Guam, Puerto Rico , Virgin islands, America Samoa. Ask those in the south western U.S. from Texas to California whose heritage is Mayan/Mexican. Ask the Jewish community. Ask the Muslims whose heritage in this country is older than the U.S. Ask the African who was brought here against his will and brought his culture with him. The TRUTH is, we are and always have been a country of many people of diverse cultures, languages, and religions. This is the country I swore an oath to support and defend. We HAVE NEVER been a "white Christian" nation. If you can not understand or wish to ignore our vast and diverse history, I guess you can love it or leave it.

(36,740 posts)Many thousands (millions?) of republicans are wearing red hats that say America is not great.
In great big letters.
Ask them what countries they are going back to.

(4,033 posts)My father's parents came from Germany. My mother could trace her ancestry back to pre-colonial days. Some of those ancestors were Tories and a shoestring cousin signed the Declaration of Independence.
So, when someone tells me 'go back where you came from' I just don't know where I should go! LOL.
And I love 'the Squad' and I voted for Nancy for Senate several times while I lived in Ca.

None, not a gaud damn bit of wiggle.
Any veteran that says otherwise is a liar and a fraud.
