Having bad thoughts here about our Electoral voters process.

The way i understand this is each state informs these people who to vote for. BUT they could vote ANYWAY they choose, is this correct? If so, this could be a BIG problem with no answer to. BARR will probably STOP any investigation. Anybody else feel this way?

They are chosen by the winning candidate's state party. Though, I was hoping for a few more of Trump's electors to be faithless.

based on the vote. On ballots you can usually see that you are voting for "electors for (candidate name)".

So people voting for (candidate name) are choosing electors that have pledged to support (candidate name).

Different electors get chosen based on who got the most votes.

This faithless electors are not common at all.

Some states even legally require electors to vote as advertised, at least on the first ballot.
