Why did Mueller have to write to the DoJ?

Last edited Mon Jul 22, 2019, 10:54 PM - Edit history (1)

Asking what he could tell Congress?

He's gonna sell us out again. F him. He no longer works there; he owes an allegiance to the Constitution and to this country not to the doj.

This is making me sick!

8. 🚩 Public sentiment must be moved toward impeachment

This has been discussed here and other places, especially on MSNBC.

We need the House to vote to impeach and the Senate to convict and in order for that to happen, the members of both Chambers need to know that their constituents think that Trump should be removed from office.

The public must understand the facts before the polls move to favor impeachment and conviction.

It's repeatedly been said that "people do not read the books but they watch the movies." Far too few people have read Mueller's report. Some do not even know it exists. IF Mr. Mueller is clearly forthcoming in his testimony, it will be news that people will hear. It WILL Matter.

If it wouldn't matter (it's all in the report), then Why have him testify?

Speaker Pelosi is even holding up a hearing on impeachment because she feels the American public is not yet behind it. We need them to hear all the facts from the horse's mouth (from Mr Mueller) because "they will not read the book."

19. I agree with Pelosi. And so all we need is for Mueller to stand behind the facts in the report. I

have no doubt he will. Those facts may or may not change the narrative for enough people.

From another thread:

Her reasoning is clear: if the House were to launch an impeachment without “overwhelming” evidence of high crimes and misdemeanors and strong bipartisan public support, Trump’s inevitable acquittal in the Republican-controlled Senate would only strengthen him, and he could cruise to reëlection.

That would write a letter to the police to say he went 1 over the speed limit while sneezing and include a check for the appropriate fine in the envelope.

Per CNN, Mueller wrote to DOJ requesting guidance on what he can and cannot say when he testifies.

Think of his military background, and chain of command.

But I'm not going to hazard a guess as to how much detail he will give up. I'm actually wondering how he will respond to rethug's attacking him and his credibility.

Mueller was obligated to deliver a report to Congress at the conclusion of his work, but otherwise, his office is no different than any of the other US Attorneys.

16. Does he want cover so he doesn't have to answer certain questions?

If he is the man that's been described to us, (the most up-rightest of all time), then why would he not want the American people to know as much as possible? Something isn't making any sense to me here. And I'm tired of trying to convince myself he is who I thought he was. Surely to God, since being aware of Trump's crimes, he'd want him impeached. Could he have been threatened? My sister says ABSOLUTELY NOT! I got a sick feeling he is either just another Republican, or he was indeed, threatened.
