2. 'Special counsel Robert Mueller made a last-minute request
Tue Jul 23, 2019, 01:36 PM
Jul 2019

to have his deputy sworn in for Wednesday's House Judiciary Committee hearing in case he needed to answer any questions the special counsel could not fully answer himself, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Republicans on the House Judiciary committee immediately raised concerns that Democrats may allow Mueller's deputy Aaron Zebley to testify alongside the special counsel at the hearing, one of two public hearings Mueller is testifying at Wednesday.
Democrats so far have not agreed to this request. A spokesman for House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler said the only witness for the hearing, at the moment, is Mueller.

Democrats have pushed to hear from Zebley along with James Quarles behind closed doors after Mueller testified. But the Department of Justice resisted that request.'

I think this is a scheme by Trump and Barr to put someone beside to keep Mueller in check. I hope the Democrats turn down the request.

Don't trust these people.

Don't believe everything you hear or read about this hearing.

7. This was never Mueller's investigation. It was DOJ's. He worked on their behalf. He signed on to

those regulations which give the AG greatest control over the work product. There may be criminal cases ongoing of in the future that Mueller’s testimony if not in line with guidelines could hamper.
Al, he needs to do is stand by the report. Enough on there for a couple of impeachment’s and
criminal charges.

10. Do you really think Barr is going to stay in those lines...

Barr - "The People's Attorney" - is clearly actually Trump's personal attorney

In what other case does a witness for the prosecution appeal to the defense attorney before he can proceed

What we have here is a person who insists on following ALL the rules going up against a gang who follows NONE of the rules

Thinks stinks so bad

The Orange Shitgibbon keeps linking Comey with Mueller when there are also close links with Barr and Mueller.

Then you are blind. You'll see everything but the kitchen sink thrown at ending this testimony for tomorrow. It will be cancelled by this evening.

9. No, this is a reasonable request.

Mueller didn't do all the interviews himself, and undoubtedly relied on reports and notes made by others in assembling his report.

It's unlikely he mulled over all the reports and notes himself, but probably farmed out aspects of it to an aide. "Aide" doesn't mean "low-ranking" unless the person being aided is fairly low ranking. It would also be the person who vetted and fact-checked the report, if I had to guess.

That means he may not know all the sources everything based on, and the status of each of those sources. (I'm being kind. What you should read that to mean is "there's no way in hell he could know all the sources ...".)

13. Something very shady going on behind the curtains...

And I don't think Mueller is making these last minute decisions. It is Trump passing it on to Barr. Barr is then requesting Mueller do him the favor.

It is not as it seems.

Does that mean the we're going to go beyond the four corners of the report then? Why bring someone to help if you are just going to read the report?
