With Mueller wanting to bring in a deputy I have had a thought creep into my mind.

Possibly, Mr. mueller isn’t as sharp as he once was in his younger days. And it could also explain his hesitance in testifying.

I have nothing to back it up. It is just a thought and possible explanation.

Other explanation may be that he is righty concerned about how his finding could hurt his party.

For the life of me, I cannot figure it out. if he is the patriot everyone claims why is he acting the way he is.

I have to say the limited press conference he did was helpful but he also came off as nervous. Why is someone such as him so dang nervous?

I'm 66, and I'm not nearly as sharp as I used to be. But everyone is different (look at RBG).

He wants someone to keep tabs on him and prevent him from going out of the lines. Barr and Trump are attempting to control the hearing.

The perfect pick for this Justice Department.

Were we set up?

hopefully it won't die of loneliness.

But seriously, people don't need to do or believe as I do to be a patriot. My world is not that narrow.

camera operators with cameras clicking, thousands or more viewers watching many of whom will be picking apart every word, every inflection, every gesture, every facial twitch, etc?

Hmm... maybe because some people have stage fright, maybe because some people aren't comfortable with nor desire so much attention on them and aren't good enough performers to fake being okay. Maybe he's had death threats against his family by loons. Maybe some people are much better one on one or in a small group, or better and more comfortable asking the questions.

Not all everyone can get up in front of a large crowd, especially one with lots of distractions, and perform or give a speech. I have as on a smaller scale, perhaps you have on a larger one but maybe it isn't something Mueller can do without his nerves showing.

Could there be more at play here? Possibly. I'm sure we could come up with a few theories but for now I'm going with Mueller is an honorable person who's perhaps just uncomfortable in the limelight and just wants to do his job the best he can (with his hands aggravatingly tied by Barr, etc ATM) and retire in relative peace.

He doesn't work for the government anymore so they can't tell him what to say. If he doesn't speak up everything Trump is on his shoulders. And we'll know for certain never trust a republican no matter how many good things you hear about him.
