Trump knocks Fox News after poll shows him losing to Biden by 10 points
President Donald Trump renewed his attacks on Fox News Friday, complaining that the network’s pollsters weren’t favorable enough to him after claiming the news organization had been “Proud Warriors” for him in the run-up to the 2016 election.
“@FoxNews is at it again. So different from what they used to be during the 2016 Primaries, & before - Proud Warriors! Now new Fox Polls, which have always been terrible to me (they had me losing BIG to Crooked Hillary), have me down to Sleepy Joe,” he wrote on Twitter using the nickname he assigned to former Vice President Joe Biden.
The poll he appears to be referencing shows the president losing a handful of hypothetical matchups against 2020 frontrunners. The national survey found that Trump would lose to Biden by 10 points, and to Sen. Bernie Sanders by 6 points. It showed him beating both Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris, though, by a slim 1-point margin, within the poll’s margin of error.
That poll showed Biden with a comfortable cushion among 2020 Democrats, with a lead of more than double his next closest competitor, Sanders.
