Ive read about this and as I remember years ago there was a way to check if you were compromised. I had been but don’t remember anything from back then.

No one ever notified me of any compromise - was it our responsibility to contact equifax and ask?

I feel like I should order a copy of my equifax and see if there is anything on it that would tell me if my info had been comprimised.

Equifax did not notify people who's info was compromised.

12. Can you get the cash even if you aren't getting credit monitoring services?

It makes you sign off certifying that you are. I assume that they won't check that.

I have it, so that part didn't worry me. Went for the cash.
