The second picture is a homeless encampment that was located in Charleston. A lot of Progressives came together to fight for their right to live there instead of on the streets.

I'm sure we could go through each red state and each republican congressional district and find pockets of grinding poverty and desperation. Poverty is a problem nationwide, but with the exception of DC, the top most impoverished states are almost all red states.

I compare this situation to how Jon Stewart lobbied for the 9/11 first responders, even though he's not an elected politician, and what an amazing difference between a man who genuinely cares about other human beings and one who could give a damn.

It makes me sick. I can't even say what I wish Mitch's fate to be or I'd be banned for life. I actually think he's almost worse than Trump, which is really saying something.

17. There are homeless in wealthy cities and impoverished cities

urban and rural, definitely within short walks from many Trump properties. Maybe some gated communities and suburbs might have laws restricting this sort of thing but it's a reality most everywhere.
