500,000 kids will lose free school lunch under Sadist Sick Fuck's administration plan

.

The Trump administration left important information out of its latest attempt to take food aid from millions of poor people: The plan would potentially strip around 500,000 kids of free school lunches. But while the Trump administration was up-front about the 3.1 million people who would be stripped of food stamps under its plan, it didn’t bother to mention what would specifically happen to children.

Kids automatically get free school lunch if their families receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits, a policy that reduces paperwork and makes sure that kids aren’t deprived of food by parents who are unable to do the paperwork for one reason or another. Trump’s plan to kick 3.1 million people off of food stamps works by taking away states’ ability to adjust eligibility to account for high housing and childcare costs. That’s a way states currently can prevent families from having to choose between a roof over their heads and food on their plates—and it’s something Trump Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue called “abuse of a critical safety net system.”

Here’s what that “abuse” looks like when families are faced with the real-world choice between food and housing. “The parents start missing meals to avoid that impact on the kids. And the older kids—the ones in middle school and high school—they often will skip meals to make sure there’s food for the little ones,” Share Our Strength’s Lisa Davis told NBC News.

The eligibility restriction would have a cascade effect by taking those automatic school lunches away from kids in the families that had lost food stamps, so the kids would be hungry at home and hungry at school. That’s information the Trump administration didn’t bother to include in its formal proposal, House Democrats say. Is it because even the Trump administration knows that bragging about making kids go hungry isn’t a good look? Or because it just doesn’t think poor kids are worth a mention? Either way, the cruelty is still the point.

If he can't starve and lock kids in overcrowded cages, he'll starve them at school.

But this is how the powerful can keep the poor and working class down-- literally starving them... or at least depriving them of the nutrition needed to be healthy and brain-strong in childhood. It's truly diabolical-- try their best to limit the competition for education and jobs in the future.

And of course they blame the victims.

how much their parents make.

Many years ago I saw an episode of "Chopped" where the competitors were all women who were cooks in school cafeterias. Some of their stories were heartbreaking! One woman told of kids whose only meal of the day was the school lunch & how she worried if her kids got enough to eat over the weekend. Another made containers of leftovers for her low income children to take home. How many martini lunches do our tax dollars pay for, for CEOs of oil companies, banks, & other fucking leaches, but we have to cut the school lunch program.

Fuck you Donald, you festering piece of shit.

Trump is purposely trying to cause as much pain and suffering as he can. He seems to take perverse pleasure from making others suffer.

Taking children from their parents is not cruel enough, now he wants to cause people to starve.

The trains to the gas chambers may not be far behind.

The only get angry at him when "he's not hurting the people he's supposed to be hurting."

I don't even remember what horror that particular rwnj was responding to, but this has forever changed my opinion of people I know who still support him & the republican party. It's a mark on them that will always see.

Some will have to choose between the bigotry & fear show they enjoy and food for the family

Wonder which will be consessions, or maybe this plan will not take place until it’s close to the election and they are already hooked in for a trump vote so don’t care

500000 kids will lose a lunch could be a republican brag
I don’t count it out

Giving free lunches to everyone would avoid the stigma, and not making kids pay would eliminate the need for some jobs that currently keep track of that.

I had a friend who was on a school board in Orange County, CA years ago, and the school district turned down federal money for free breakfasts because, some board members said, "children should have breakfast at home with their families."

There's really no end to the cruelty of some people.

that starving people will be naturally driven to work harder, thereby lifting the economy for everyone. We know it does not work that way in reality. This philosophy has been proven many times around the world to be a failure and many unheard poor people die from their malfeasance.

They are a total failure in understanding the incredible difficulties impoverished people face every day in modern society, just with getting to and maintaining a job, feeding a family, paying basic expenses and keeping out of debt.

They all need to live flat-broke for around 10-years in order to understand......
