Is Trump the Great White Hope?

I don't know if the young will recognize the reference point. It was a name that referred to a hopeful white boxer that would unseat Jack Johnson who was a black boxer in the 1910 era who was beating every white contender in the boxing ring. The white folk didn't seem to like his success, so they prayed for a great white hope that would finally unseat him. They didn't succeed in the ring.

So we have Trump, a true entertainer, dancing in the ring, acting like the man who is the protector of white dominance, knocking out any true chance for change that will offer diverse equality. I see him as their Great White Hope.
